At Squisito Pizza & Pasta and Squisito Too, our franchisees are an extension of the Squisito family. Just like any restaurant you go into in Italy it’s important to us that our franchise family is dedicated to providing incredible food and support to their local communities. We’re excited to welcome Joey and Melissa Messick to the family as the franchisees for our newest Squisito Too in Sevierville, Tennessee. This is the first of four Squisito Too’s they plan to open in Tennessee.
Joey and Melissa have years of experience in franchising and are excited to bring a delicious Italian fast casual concept to Tennessee. Joey Messick is a second-generation Krispy Kreme franchisee with two stores currently open in the Knoxville area. Joey and Melissa were searching for the perfect fast-casual concept to bring to the area and after a mutual friend introduced them to the Squisito Family they knew it would be a huge hit. Squisito Too’s delicious proprietary recipes and build-your-own model is the perfect fit in the Knoxville/Pigeon Forge area.
We reached out to Joey and Missy with a few fun questions about their experience so you can get to know them better. Learn more about the Messick’s below and help us welcome them to the Squisito family!
Tell us about your experience in the food industry (or what made you want to join the food industry)
Working in the food industry has been an awesome experience. We’ve especially loved getting to work with our new team members at Squisito Too and help our local community.
What drew you to Squisito Too specifically and how has the support been from the Squisito corporate team?
We had a mutual friend who drew us to the concept and knew it would be a huge hit in Tennessee! The support has been amazing from the start. The corporate team at Squisito have been on top of everything and it’s been a smooth ride.
What’s your favorite dish on the menu?
Even though the whole menu is all delicious, we love the pizzas!
How do you plan to impact your local community with Squisito and how have they responded to you being open?
We hope to be part of a lot of community activities and fundraising for different organizations and look forward to making an impact. Our local neighborhoods have been great! They have been a huge support since day one and we love seeing the awesome reviews and hearing the great feedback from everyone’s experience at Squisito Too.
Squisito Too in Sevierville officially opened in January 2021 and is located at 1645 Parkway Suite 295. They are open 7 days a week from 11am to 8 pm and are available for dine in, carry out, and delivery through DoorDash. Click here to see their menu and here to order online.
